So, who am I? In short, I am the person who keeps things moving when the road ahead is still being built. The official title is project manager, though that label barely scratches the surface of what the work really involves.

Thirty-five years of getting things done

I have spent more than 35 years in project management, and I learned the craft the only way it can truly be learned: by doing it, across very different worlds. I have worked with scrappy tech startups and with large corporations, with small local teams and with people scattered across time zones and cultures. Different stakes, different tools, but always the same goal: bringing the project home within the scope, the budget, and the deadline it was given.

Methods matter, people matter more

Over the years I have worked across the full spectrum of methodologies, from the structured, sequential logic of Waterfall to the fast feedback loops of Agile. I am comfortable choosing the approach that fits the project, rather than forcing the project to fit the approach.

But frameworks are only half of the story. I am convinced that the real engine of any successful project is the team behind it. When people communicate openly, trust one another, and feel that their contribution is seen, good things follow: clearer decisions, fewer nasty surprises, and work that everyone is genuinely proud of.

Leading with empathy

I think of my role less as a commander and more as a facilitator. My job is to understand what motivates each person, to ease the friction before it hardens into conflict, and to give everyone the room to do their best work. Empathy, for me, is not a soft extra. It is one of the most practical tools I own, and it has rescued more deadlines than any piece of software ever has.

Always a student

I never treat the learning as finished. I am constantly chasing new ideas, testing new methods, and keeping up with the tools that keep reshaping how we work. Curiosity is part of the job description, and honestly, it is the part I enjoy most.
